About
About That's Okay
That's Okay is a small, independent UK brand helping children understand and talk about their feelings. It's run by Chris Dixon, the author and illustrator of the That's Okay children's books, through Little Fish Books in Norwich.
Every resource stars the same cast of friendly, hand-drawn feelings creatures, each one showing a different emotion, from happy and excited to worried, angry and shy. The message behind all of them is simple: every feeling is okay, and there's always something that can help.
What we make
- Picture books: That's Okay, a guide to feelings and emotions for children aged 4 to 8, and That Feels Earthmazing, available as books, ebooks and audiobooks.
- Printable resources: instant PDF downloads for home and school, including feelings posters, a feelings wheel, check-in packs, calm corner kits, journals and colouring pages, designed for ages 3 to 8.
- Clothing and gifts: printed to order, featuring the feelings creatures.
For schools and settings
Many of our printables are used in classrooms, nurseries, SEN settings and calm corners. See our resources for schools for school licences and invoicing.
Why it exists
Chris created That's Okay to make conversations about feelings easier and to help reduce the stigma around mental health, starting with the youngest readers. You can find interviews, articles and reviews in our press office.
